Rick Stein Salad Bowl Trevone Bay

This salad bowl is decorated with a watercolour illustration of Trevone Bay, Cornwall. The clean design of the bone china form compliments the subtly changing shades of the bay, with vivid sea blue tones. Inspired by the land and seascape of Cornish coves, this beautiful collection of illustrations were the winning entry in a competition Rick Stein launched to final year Art & Design students at Falmouth University, to create his new tabletop collection. Eight coves and bays from North Cornwall have been hand-painted in watercolour showing the depth and colour variations in the sea. Rick on Trevone Bay: "Scene of a little barbecue of Cornish sardines watched avidly by Chalky, my late and much lamented Jack Russell."
